Faith Platforms presents the National Catechism Contest, a fun faith competition with emphasis on the Catechism and the Bible. This engaging competition will help young Catholics to learn, know and understand their faith.

Competition Highlights

  • The top 3 schools or parishes each win between $1,500 - $5,000 in cash ¬†along with a certificate of award.
  • The top 3 students from each school or parish will receive a trophy and prizes worth up to $1,000.
  • Free access to will be granted during the summer to help students prepare for the competition.
  • The competition is open to all Catholic schools and parishes in the United States and Canada. Homeschool Students can participate through their parish.
  • Only students in 5th - 8th grade are eligible to participate.


Top Schools and Parishes

The top 3 schools or parishes with the highest score will receive these prizes and awards:

The second place winner will receive a trophy and $2500 in cash


The first place winner will receive a trophy and $5000 in cash.


The third place winner will receive a trophy and $1,500 in cash.

Top Students

The top 3 students will each receive a certificate, Biblezon Catholic Tablet and up to $1,000 in cash.


What is the National Catechism Content?

The National Catechism Contest is a fun catechism and bible competition brought to you by Faith Platforms & CatholicBrain. The purpose of the competition is to test students knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith.

Who can participate?

Catholic students in 5th - 8th grade who attend a Catholic school or enrolled in a faith formation program at their parish. Only USA and Canada

Where does the competition take place?

The competition will take place on the CatholicBrain website during the week of September 25 - September 29, 2023.

When is the last date to register?

Registration period is April 25 - May 31, 2023

Is there a fee to register?

Registration fee is $199 for a school and parish. This covers the cost for preparatory resources which will be shipped to each particing school or parish.

How is the winner determined?

The winner is determined based on the highest score and the time in which the competition was completed.

When will the winners be announced?

The winner(s) will be announced approximately 2 weeks after the competition.
